New to forum.
Just bought a new winter project, 1987 silverado R10 2wd, 5.7 tbi,
body is good, NO rust holes anywhere, hood is the worst of the surface rust,
Tires are pure crap, rally wheels are all good, all trim and emblems are present
and accounted for if not actually attached

Engine fires right up but is not running prefect but also not too bad for having been sitting for 1-2 years. drove it 25 miles home, good temp & oil pressure.
Trans feels fine, all of the exterior lights work.

I do have 1 broken front shock mount and suspect the other.
Any body have a good fix they want to share, any kits available?

ALSO since I haven't really started on it yet and it MIGHT be more of a project than I have time for, SHOOT me an offer if interested.

Doesn't look like it needs much. Fix the shocks, slap some rubber on it and I would drive it like it is.

Lol I would leave it on there if it was flat. I would put one on my short bed if I could find one cheap enough.

what shock mount upper or lower? upper is a bolt, we used to call them spark plug bolts because they kind of look like a spark plug. they come with new shocks and I have seen them separate, I think dorman. lower on 2wd is welded to the a arm, I believe. just weld in a reinforcing plate and drill a hole in it. a pic of the broken bracket would help. highdesertranger
