What would cause the brakes lights to stay on? My first thought is bad brake light switch. Any suggestions out there? Thanks in advance. 1990 GMC Suburban.

Most likely the brake light switch. It's either gone bad or come lose from it's mounting. Look along the brake peddle swing arm and you'll find a push button switch.

You guys were right. Switch came loose from its mount. I'm back on track now. Thanks.
