so I've got an 89 v1500 suburban and its been sitting for a bout a year and I finally got all the title issues worked out and I went to drive it last night and I had all my running lights both blinkers but no brake light checked fuses and they were good I suspecting the brake light switch even though they worked fine when I parked it does anyone have any ideas if it could be something else and if not how big of a pain is it to change out the brake light switch

Push/pull the hazard switch a couple times, see if that fixes

Check for power on the orange wire at the brake switch. If you have power there, push the brake and check for power on the white wire. If that’s good, keep the brake pushed, check for power on the yellow and green terminals of the turn signal switch. If you have power o the white wire, but nothing on the green/yellow wires, replace the turn signal switch
