Can I put an 86 C/10 2wd body on a 78 C/10 4wd frame ? I know there’s an issue with the transmission hump since the 2wd hump is shorter. Are there any major issues with cab,bed or front clip bolt patterns not matching up ?

As far as I know, it should bolt up once you take care of the floor. The front frame horns are different, so the bumper won't just bolt up.

You should have no problem if you’re running the 2wd trans

Are the bushings part of a body swap kit or sold individually ?
Where can I find them ?

It looks like the hump could be taken out of the old cab from the 78 but , the 86 cab is one piece so I’m thinking I could just cut the floor out & put the old hump into the 86 . Does that sound right ?

Yep, you can do that. Frame your cut to look like what the 78 did and you'll be able to bolt the 78 tunnel in perfectly.

I did something similar with a 2WD hump from a '79 in my '81: 81 C10 Six Banger
