Not 100% this is the right category or not but its technically a body question.
I've my 83 crewcab and in the process of rust finding and treatments my passenger side floor board is a bit rougher then expected. before i go buying replacement parts( i already have to get rockers) i have a guy up the road with alot of 84s that said most of it is for parts/sale. will a 84 suburban share same floor pans as my 83 crewcab? I'm not wanting perfect just the outer part(probably 3-4 inches x 14inches around kick panel) really as mine is a manual so my bolt on hump etc etc is there so if it fits ill just be chopping sections as need be.

I would think that the area you described should interchange.

Around in those sections yes, they should be the same. Further back is where they start to differ
