Well sure it was. They can do like 55 or so, right?
I suppose theirs did like 35 or 40 with the loader bucket on the front and a back hoe attachment......they left them behind lol

As far as I know, that was always the main point in having a unimog. A piece of farm/construction machinery that was suitable for road travel.

I drove it home from Denver when I bought it, 425 miles, top speed 49 mph. :eek: Some of the 416 models had highway gears and could actually do 55. And yes, it was basically a tractor with a cab. I had a loader for it, but never mounted it, also had a snow bolwer and a couple of plows, always wanted a backhoe for it.

I have a sales brochure for Unimog they have awsome toys for them.
Yeah, the could be used for all kinds of things. I have a brocure with logging attachments that you could get for them. Log loaders, log bunks, multiple trailers, skidding attachments, etc.

Saw a pic of one that drove off the front axle and had a very low deck for in the rear with a hydraulic rear suspension for transporting forklifts and such.
