I learned along time ago that no matter what you know, someone somewhere knows more.
I KNOW for a fact that I have a bunch of exhaust gaskets in my extra Olds parts tote with different size exhaust ports. I also KNOW that I have a stack of exhaust manifolds with different size ports. I looked thru all of them last year when I replaced the rotten exhaust on dads 455 powered GMC. When I swapped in the 455 years ago I used the diesel manifolds that were on it, simply to keep the cost down. I figured if all the exhaust needed to be replaced, might as well install the proper manifolds.
What I meant was I didn't pipe up on what was the same or different, because I only know 330,350,455. I know nothing about 307s and 403s and didn't want to give wrong info. That sure wasn't aimed at you.More at the people in any forumn that have no idea but say I think that'll work or I don't think that 'll work they have no basis just they think or don't think. I've posted proven by years of expierience ways of doing things on other forumns just to have a 19 year old Osco clerk say oh I don't think that will work.I posted it because I know it works Appologies if I stepped on your toes.
