Hey guys new to the group here. So I have a 77 blazer and the top is in rough shape. I’m curious what’s the best route to take. Refinish with fiberglass repair kit, use Berliner to cover it or just look for a better one. Thanks in advance

I have the same issue on my 83 k5. It almost seems that the fiberglass resin is gone and you are now into the matte. I plan to re-resin my top and then paint. Not 100% sure this will fix the problem. Also thought about MonstaLiner. It's a type of bed liner I've heard good reviews on.

Thanks for joining Carl, welcome.
Have you had this truck long enough to watch this happen? Did it start with the jell coat chipping? I'm only assuming there was jell coat, old school fiberglass m.o.

How deep are the 'wrinkles'? Maybe a skim coat of body filler would do it?

Also thought about Interlux 2k. Used on boat fiberglass.

Welcome aboard

I had an old fiberglass boat that did that
and I used Pettit Easypoxy top side marine paint and had good luck with it

Ive only owned it for a couple weeks. I’m no sure how it started. But I think I will try to find some YouTube videos of the epoxy/ resin fixes. If anyone has some links that would be helpful
