Best clutch to buy

Looking for some advice. I need to put a clutch ,pressure plate,throw out in my sons truck. Stock motor ,sm465,208 case. I put a ASM clutch kit from rock auto,6000 miles ago. It has failed already. Gonna replace tomorrow. What has been some of the better clutches you guys have run. Not sure if clutch or pressure plate. Will know more tomorrow. Thanks

About any clutch should hold up OK in a stock application. If there's nothing hanging up in the linkage or throwout bearing, it might just be that your son needs more practice driving a manual shift.

Well I was thinking it might just be him also. I drove it a couple of days ago and all was well. Road into to town with him yesterday and it just failed. I had a pressure plate fail years ago in a chevelle. It acts just like that.

I just bought a power torque HD clutch from the big O. Don't have it in yet though.

I don't know about the best clutch but I have only used a 12 inch 3 fingered clutch in my truck. It is pretty stiff though.

I put a Zoom clutch in my Camaro, it has held up to some pretty good abuse so far.

No I haven't found one locally yet and I didn't order one off ebay. Gonna look a little more today,then order ebay if I cant find one. Thanks
