Oh yeah!!!!! I've just been running no hood springs and using a prop rod.Im calling wamrods that hood is bleeping heavy. As part of my routine now it's barbell curls, dumbbell flys, open the hood on the 75. 3 sets of 10.

As others have said clean and lube the hinges, push back as its coming down will eliminate most bent hoods. I added home made stiffeners for added protection.

(I believe the rivets will sheer off in a bad wreck)

That Wamrods is pretty slick.

But if you're like me you just leave the hood up all the time because you can't get the truck to run so there is no worries.
