My 86 has buckets out of god knows what that I don't really care for. My plan was to buy a used bench seat, re-foam and re-cover it, so I grabbed a seat out of an 81 from CL to do just that. Turns out I didn't look close enough at LMC to realize that they don't offer the seat back foam for 81-86 seats. My question is has anyone bought the 73-80 back and bottom foam set and gotten it to work on 81+? My other thought was get rid of this bench, grab a pre 81 and get the foam set and upholstery and put that in as after some research I've gathered that it would bolt in fine. I know the seatbelts are configured a bit different, but could I install the early seatbelts as well? FWIW I'm planning on getting upholstery from B62 Upholstery if anyone has experience with them.

I just had to reupholster one of these and the back was gone. I called down to USA1 Industries and they have them. They have the replacement for the back seat foam and the bottom seat foam. Check it.

Do you work for them or are you related somehow? All your posts have links to their website

I think the answer is pretty obvious. Trying to rehab their bad reputation. BTW he joined another Chevy forum the same day, doing the same thing, responding to posts with USA1 links recommending them.

Actually, no i don't work for them. I am in there state and have restored many trucks using them. I have spoken with them and in a world of Amazon I do understand the struggles that a small business faces when there are so many major competitors. So, I figured yes, I would help them out and spread good news. It's funny that in this world that spreading good news is actually a bad thing. The fact of the matter is no one would put up with the long wait times if they could get it from someone else. (NOT EVEN ME) but I know for a fact that many parts over hundreds cannot be sources from no other supplier. So at least they are trying to fill our needs. I wish you many blessings sir.

Best seat I ever installed in a truck was a 70s Mk IV seven way heated seat.
Go big or go home!

They should just be honest up front about their wait times. It would alleviate most of the negative reviews of their company.
