Bed Bolts?

Just wondering if anyone knows why half of my bed bolts have a short shoulder and other half long shoulder. I'm assuming some were replaced at some point. I think OEM bolts have long shoulder but not positive. I'm replacing them anyway but just curious. Thanks

Those 3 with the shorter shoulder dont look OE (to me anyways). Wonder if a ghost of owners-past swapped some out?

You're correct, the long shoulder bolts are OE and the short shouldered ones are just some hardware store replacements.

FYI - The six (6) short LMC replacement bolts also have the short shoulder.

I was looking at the threaded ends too.....aftermarkets are usually squared off and the OE's are tapered.
