Bar magnet in engine bay

I'd like to think i had the most original idea ever in the history of motoring. Probably not, but it's fun to think that I came up with an original solution to a problem I've had when working under the hood. Mounting a bar magnet under the hood gives me a way to keep tools close at hand without using the tops of the batteries or having a small pile that falls with any disturbance.
Wanted to pass this along; I find it very useful.

I came in here thinking of a mangnetic Pabst sign. This is much better. Thanks for the idea, woulda saved unnecessary bending and wasted time looking for stuff during my head gasket job.

Great idea....I also use a magnetic bowl for all of the hardware when it is removed. It's absurd how many nuts, bolts and washers roll away to well....somewhere.

I managed to collect a few. I remember as a kid I would look at the old Chiltons and learn the cars and how to differentiate between years by the pics in the beginnings of the sections.

It has Model T procedures in it lol and it says ENGINE not motor lol
