i got a 82 GMC with a 3/4 14 bolt rear end, semi float, and a 10 bolt front end, i was wanting to see what everyone would recommend in getting for it. im planing on making a 383 stroker for it with a 8 inch lift, with 38 inch tires, but later on in my life i might put 44 inch tires on it, I'm not very educated on axles "differentials" and would like to learn a'lot more on them. thanks

sorta new to the forms to, will try my best:cheers:

That's why I asked the intended use. If it's just a street truck, the 14 bolt will hold up just fine, and the front 10 bolt should hold up too with 38's.

But any real 4x4 use, yeah, a dana 60 is what should be used up front. The 14SF should still be ok, but a 14FF obviously would be stronger.
