Hi. I’m new to the forum. I have a 1975 k10. I just replaced upper and lower ball joints in both sides. Now my axle u-joints are rubbing the lower ball joint nut. Does anyone have an idea why it’s doing that?

Welcome to the site from NC. I rebuilt a Dana 44 HD a few years back & used China's best stuff from the local auto store; that's what the customer wanted. I too had problems with the axle shaft rubbing the upper ball joint. It took a few turns on the spanner nut adjuster on top to get enough clearance on the axle shaft...after polishing the joint cap with the grinder.

Thanks. Yeah I was thinking grinding the lower ball joint but down a hair.
