How does the view of the gauges look from the drivers seat? I started a similar project a long time ago on a 1976 C10... but the gauges were tilted down to see straight from the drivers seat and caused parallax error with the needles.
I see that Auto Meter also has a nice gauge mount cluster for the 73/88 squares too... but MSRP is like $350.00! It also looks like the gauges tilt down too.
Just curious as to your results with the LMC product. I didn't find it with a cursory search.

update...... Ok, after researching the "parallax" effect, or error, as was noted, yes, it is a common phenomena with vehicle instrumentation. The drivers view of the speedo will show 60 mph. , while the passenger's view of the same gauge may show 55 mph. So with that understood, sitting directly in front of the gauges, (and the angle of the cluster being 2 deg. down), very little "effect" is visible. Thanks to our dual eyes with their overlapping visual fields. Hey, good question. Hope this helps others.

Looks great...I've been trying to dream up what to do with my old messed up instrument cluster, and that looks like a better option than me cutting and bending a plate.
Pardon me being so square, but when you say those couple of plastic pieces are "done"...you mean that is what was removed and discarded?
