I have a 91' V1500 with bucket seats and dual arm rests on each seat. I had to force the fabric forward and pull it off the arm rest then I could access the bolt to remove the arm rest frame from the seat. The zipper would have been nice. Anyone know what size foam to use?The pivot pin is rumored to be integral with the seat frame. It extends out short distance from the seat side. Additionally, there is a hole in the outboard side of the arm - back near rear end. When assembled, the hole in the arm is slipped onto the pin. The arm is then fastened to the pin (but it is still allowed to pivot on it) by the use of a screw/bolt.
After the fastener is tightened to the pin, one of the following methods is used to hide it's head from view:
There is a bolt at the bottom were it pivots up and down, it is behind the cloth.
Some designs have a zipper in the fabric that is unzipped to gain access.
On some other styles you have to pull cloth aside to get to the screw
And there are some that just have a plug covering it.
You may have to remove seat unless you have enough room to get to the screw.
Hey - what do you know! The above was correct. So I guess its true - the internet isn't just for downloading porn.
