Anyone with a shortbed fleetside that can tell me if this is original?

I have a 85 fleetside that I believe is original and i picked up another 85 bed that I think might be a repop but both are missing the rib that I circled in the pic below. the ones in the pic are supposed to be original. Could it be a year thing? does anyone else have one like shown, and what year is the truck...Thanks

My '85 GMC short bed fleetside does not have the rib in your photo.

My old 85 GMC short/wide did not have that as well. Can check on 79 in few days

I may be wrong (if so surely I will hear about it). To the best of my knowledge the holes for the gas filler is from a much earlier model.

Those bed sides are from a 73-78 fleetside truck with dual tanks.
In 79 they changed over to a cover/door setup instead of the exposed gas caps.
