Any value or performance additive in this ignition system?

Pulled this off an 87 tbi burb.

It's complete, I was considering hooking it up to my truck and seeing if I get some amazing power increase.

I don't even know really if this thing has any merit or not or how it even works.

On my 89, you have the primary ignition module under the dizzy cap to apply +5 volts to crank it, then it goes into bypass and the ESC (electronic spark module) controls timing and ignition...

Would this piece of **** work in place of the two?

If someone feels like it'd maybe add something, I'd be willing to give it ago, traditionally I'm not a fan of exterior power adders, but anything more reliable than the old ass iginiton system I have trouble with now would be OK.

Thoughts guys.

Thanks!!

Since you already got it why not hook her up and give it a whirl.

Miller High Life used to be fun times. Get a case of ponies for the ride home for a bbq. Then occupants would have to slam one for each road sign on the ride home. Driver had the most fun. Foot to the floor and try to make them miss.

Back in the day, in my 56 4 door hardtop, front passenger tossed a beer bottle(OLY?) at a reflector post, hit it and it came back at the passenger rear glass. Lucky it was UP!!! Good old safety glass held but didn't look so good. Put one of those 3 inch oval STP stickers over it to keep it together til I found a replacement. ......AH, the GOOD old days!!!!......probably about 1964!!
