Yeah but do you have an embroidered, stitched together heavy cotton Dixie flag for a headliner???

My dad worked for Smyrna post office growing up. I ran off and joined the Marines at 19 and discovered Alabama at 39.
I got a couple pics on my laptop I think

Lemme check

You gotta speak Spanish if you live north of windy hill but I think that’s changing , that area appears to be the next to get gentrified
Housing prices are going up about $1000 a week in Smyrna and a lot of folks moving in can’t afford south of WH

The only houses left under $180k are in the area along Atlanta road between WH and Lockheed

Just Saw a house on Lee street sell for $275 and get bulldozed

There is, apparently, a lightweight factory starter that is compatible with earlier small blocks? This was on 2000 and later vortec engines?

Please discuss, in great detail.

Not necessarily----this came on, i think, 1999 and later vortec engines?
96-98 vortec trucks and later big blocks, and suburbans/vans that still had vortec motors in them after 1998. Same as a mini starter

I think they actually started in '95. And the 4.3 got the same starter and those were super common and still easy to find. Those small housing starters also use shorter bolts.

The 8.1 uses a "mini starter". Anyone know for sure if it fits the SBC? I *think* it does.

It's likely the same starter used on all 4.3/5.0/5.7/7.4 truck engines starting in the '95/'96 year range.

Ok, but will it work on pre 95 engines?
I recall the 8.1s came with a standard (old school ) starter in our fleet back in the day. When we replaced them we were sent minis.

It's likely the same starter used on all 4.3/5.0/5.7/7.4 truck engines starting in the '95/'96 year range.
