Another annoying AC Question

Yes there is some about an hour away and I plan on going if I get some time off work.

FYI they make new Sanden style replacement A/C compressors for A6's. It's about 1/2 the weight. I know I'm going to use one on my truck. They make standard and metric threads (more expensive). Here's the link to kits Rockauto has.

I know I won't be saying anything new, but for what its worth I was in the exact same situation with my 78. I ended up just going to junk yards and grabbing brackets for the r4 compressor from a slightly later truck, 81 I think but don't quote me. After some paint they were good as new, truck blows 40 degrees now

If they weren't, my Oct 2016 catalog for Truck Shop shows them. Pricey though $209 for all 5 brackets. Here's the on-line link that includes OEM part numbers.

I believe they are different but I could be wrong. I was one other time I think.
