Howdy, from Texas! I’m installing a new turn key GM SP350 that came with a new style 105 amp CS130 alternator into my ‘83 K5 Blazer but the Blazer wiring is for the older 10SI alternator. I found a conversion pigtail (see photo) that converts the 2 wire connector to the 4 pin connector on the new alternator however the pigtail item description doesn’t explain how it makes the conversion. Are the other two pins not required and what are they for or is there some other internal wiring jumper connections within the new 4 pin connector that provides what the new alternator requires? BTW, my Blazer does have the alternator charge idiot light, which requires pigtail PN 7625(A). Thanks!
