The original rubber bushings were cracking so I removed the suspension for rebuild. It originally came with a 305 305 kept using up distributor points so I put a 350 from a P30 bread truck in it. It’s a 1981 Silverado with saddle color interior@Steve-o81,
WOW it's beautiful. Why is it sitting on the floor? Does it have an engine in it? What is it? 402?
10 years ago I put a 1 inch piece of 3M sticky tape on the back corner was coming off it’s still sticking 100%I'm surprised the glue on the trim has not come off... Mine exterior was in decent shape vs others I have seen before I repainted it but trim was sagging in several places.
"Hello" Is it just me or am I thinking that G.M. never ran the pin stripes underneath the front fender badge???
There are other items that are not original.
As this is a "Square" help site (come clean) on originality. If it isn't, the info Degrades the site!!!
I have been wrong before "BUT"

My uncle bought it off an old man in 2001 I bought it off him in 2002. The old man must have added it. Also the old man knew it was special he only sold it to my uncle because he saw he was a deputy sheriff and wasn’t a hot rodder like me."Hello" Is it just me or am I thinking that G.M. never ran the pin stripes underneath the front fender badge???

As far as I know 1982 was the last year until fuel injection for the 305. I could be wrong though.I’m about 100% sure GM didn’t use a points distributor on any engine in 1981.

That’s just want my uncle told me when he briefly owned before me that he kept replacing points on the 305. He’s not all that handy with cars.1975 or 76 was the last year they used points on these trucks AFAIK. My 1980 had factory HEI.
