I am trying to get an 83 shortbed back on the road, it is a mess and needs a steering column. Anybody have a good experience with some of the columns from speedway, summit etc. The flaming river and ididit look good, but are expensive. Tilt, key and column would be ideal, but willing to give up if need be.
I have 2 columns and the both measure 33 " one looks like a truck column and one is from a 1978 Buick skylark aka chevy nova I was trying to retrofit. The bearings and races all all messed up and i am getting tired of fiddling with them.

Thanks, I decided to get a basic no tilt no column shift from the salvage yard, ordered a lokar floor mount shifter.
