Adding a Battery 1990 Suburban

I need to add a Battery to my 1990 Suburban. I need to know the best place to get a tray and any recommendations on isolator installation, wiring dos and dont's etc.

What are you gonna run requiring the extra battery? Just curious.

Assuming you have the passenger side battery tray now.
Look for a 6.2 diesel model as they have one on both sides.
At a minimum you can use the driver side battery tray.

I’m just adding an extra battery for the total amperage ability-no need in my case to run a seperator-I have stereo plans tho hee hee. I am using 1/0 gauge cable and 1” high heat looming, HD battery crimp connectors. I’m basically replicating the factory dual battery (TP2) RPO option.

I run alot on a single. Winch, inverter, extra lights. All about alternator. But a dual would probably serve you well.
