I don't know exactly what catagory to put this in, but it is certainly engine related:
Engine is a 1989 454, TBI and stock manifolds (no headers). Pulling the dipstick to check the oil is straightforward, but putting it back in has become very very difficult. Difficult to the point I am having to use a small pair of pliers to grip the dipstick about 3 inches above the tube and really apply pressure to get it to go in. Once it passes a certain point around 10-12 inches in, it then slides the rest of the way normally, but I have never had anything like this happen on any engine I've seen before. The tube does not appear to be pinched or kinked. Any one else ever have this and what causes/remedied it if you did?
