I recently joined the site because my daughter and I are going to restore our 77 Chevy C10 Custom Deluxe. It has a 250 engine and fleet side bed. It's been sitting in a field next to our house for the last 8 years. It had actually sunk about 4" into the ground and we had to tow it out with the Blazer. We've gotten the engine running after flushing the coolant and oil systems. We've changed out the plugs, filters, PCV, and fuel lines. We ran a fuel system cleaner thru a tank of gas and then changed the fuel filter again. Our bench seat and dash cover were extremely cracked, broken up, and not repairable. We went to "You Pull It" and found a great seat and a dash that we're restoring. We've replaced the old worn out side view mirrors and the steering wheel. The original steering wheel was just too big and left little room between it and the seat. We still need to change out the tranny and differential fluids too. We plan on restoring everything else on the truck, with the new paint job being the last item on the list. It's currently Sky Blue with white rims and bumpers. All the white will eventually be chrome. We appreciate all the threads as it's helped in everything we've done so far. We know just enough about trucks to be dangerous.
