Hi y'all, I'm new here and I come with a truck with a story. My half-brother's dad passed away (God rest his soul) and left him his truck. A C10, Silverado, BIG10. 292 with the TH400. My brother left the country a few years ago, and left the truck here for use and keeping. Recently, I started having problems with my car (an Impala 3800) and I gave up, wanted to find an older car, reliable, no electronics, cheaper maintenance. I set my sights on a Caprice Station Wagon (because my family is growing and why the heck not), but, they are kind of taboo-ish here because they're often used as hearses. Anyway, couldn't find a good one, and my brother offered to sell the truck. I accepted.
But why? From a station wagon to a pickup? About that. His dad wanted to build it as close as possible to a Blazer; enclosed cabin, rear seats, extra seats in the back. 7 seats total since the original bench seat is now the middle row.
So now I have a BIG10 station wagon. With a couple of hiccups, specially in wiring, but that's another topic.
We all learned how to drive in this thing, and it's the "baby bringer" (all of my mother's grandchildren were brought home in that truck, including my son). So my brother selling it to me came with a caveat: Do Not Sell It.
So I'm wondering, how much could I sell it for? Just kidding. From what I know about it, the truck will outlive me and stay in the family.

Thank you so much for the kind welcoming. I just took a couple of pictures.
- The rego is "black and grey" so it's painted only with primer, will repaint soon anyway.
- Tires are 31x10.50. Want to put smaller ones with the same width though, not sure what exact size to look for. I like the stance it has with the current ones though.

Welcome, and cool truck. I wonder how the sheet metal will hold up where it was filled in between the cab and bed, as that is a flex point. Either way, it's a cool idea to make it a station wagon

As far as I know, both parts were welded using a band from the outside, a band inside, and plates, so there's no flexing there. The band can be felt by hand from the outside. I'll add a few pics from inside later. LoL, the rego even says "sport wagon" as vehicle type.

Edit, here are the pictures, first one is the inside plate from the side to the bed, second one is cab floor to bed floor.

Looks solid! If you have more pics of this rig, start a build thread so we can see more of it.

That is wild.. I would never be able to tell it isn't a blazer from just a casual glance. I really like it.

Welcome from Oregon!

Oh for sure, I have a plan for her but I wouldn't know where to start thread-wise, aside from the wiring issues I found yesterday while untangling the spaghetti lol.
