My son and I have been steadily working away at his 98 Sierra to get it ready for when he gets his license in August. We’ve tackled several items to get it running good, but we also wanted to upgrade the appearance. We came across a set of wheels the other day and boy does it make a difference. Wheels definitely make the vehicle look better.

The wheels are a unique 5x5 factory GM wheel. Points to anyone who can identify them correctly. I had to look it up, because I’ve never seen them before.

Bing! Nailed it. They came off of a 2000 Tahoe limited. I’d never heard of it and I guess they didn’t make to many of them (only 8905 units made).

They're pretty rare. I have only seen a handful in the wild ever, but once in a great while one will pop up for sale. Now you have me wanting one of those for my fleet lol.

I hadn't seen a Tahoe Limited in years, but I recently found one in a nearby local town. Will be keeping tabs on it. Right now, it looks to be someone's daily driver.

Here’s the one the guy had that I got the wheels from. He lowered it 4” and put mustang wheels on it. It has really cool factory ground effects and a strange two tone gray leather interior that he said was part of the original package.

Here's the local one. Kind of rough, like most older trucks around here. The side skirts are long gone for a cheesy running board instal. The front still has all the goodies though, including the bumper with fog lights.
