This is my new project now that the 85 is up and driving. 92 S10 with 175XXX miles, 4.3/5spd, AC, PS, PB. Nothing really special about it. It had been sitting for about a year without cranking. Runs on brake cleaner fluid. Have ordered a new fuel pump assembly and bought a TBI unit that I know is good.

That's the original bumper, mine had the same one.

That's going to be a fun little truck! Makes me miss mine.

That's what was on it when I got it. Don't really care if it came from another vehicle.

The high trim level trucks got them. They were used in the 80's and in the 90's too but with the gmt400 type trim.

I'm thinking on dropping in a V8, depending on how this 4.3 runs. If it runs good with no issues, will leave it in. If it runs bad, V8 time.

I have a 400+HP SBC 358 but don't think the 5spd would hold up. Would most likely put an automatic in if I do a swap.

I wish mine was a 5 spd, a lil more fun that way.

If im not mistaken, that 5 speed could either be a t5 or a nv3500 .

Not sure of the trim levels on the S10's.

I'll have to educate myself on the trans. I don't know the difference. Just know it's a 5spd.
