So if anyone was thinking about a Ford 9" now might be the time.
The story: Work buddy asked me to set up a 9" rear for him, I said sure. Yesterday he tells me won't need my help and here is why. Turns out NASCAR changed the rules for the 'standard class' (my term). No more transmission and rear axle. Everyone will run the same transaxle.
Jay Cushman has race ready 9" gear sets for sale. Polished race gears, lock wired bolts, nodular case, 1350 yoke and a 31 spline G-force locker. Lots of different ratios available.
I don't know more, but I guess one team or more must of cleared out stock. NASCAR truck and maybe another class will still run standard transmission/ rear axles. Cushman is at Ford Carlisle this week.
