Not sure when I will get to install these, but the stock base 3rd gen brakes get overheated very fast.

Complete stock ls1 front brakes by turning a stock rotor in to a hub, or stock ctsv, c4, c5, c6 or 5th gen brakes. And couple of others that I am forgetting. Pictured are just the 4th gen parts. So essentially at this point my 3rd gen will become a complete 4th gen mechanically in brakes/drive train aspect

Is there update thread? And on the trucks I found relatively easy to knock pins out and lift the door out of the way.

Not yet. Once I start doing something with it I'll create a thread for it but so far I'm just driving it and slowly starting to gather parts for the interior refresh. My first major mod with it will be adding a third row seat. I'll definitely post on that.

whats the benefit of the ls rotors on turned hubs over 1LE rotors? I did the same thing on a 69 camaro I had but that was because it had drum front brakes.

1Le parts are $1k+ while stock rotors turned to hubs are free. 1le bearings are supposed to be better, but not at the price

prices have obviously changed but you get the point.

All parts for around $850 vs $180 for complete 4th gen set up including longer studs that uses far superior calipers. Using 1le rotors is a though that I want to explore if I can make it happen at low enough cost. I have scrap material for caliper bracket and access to lathe for turning stock rotor to hub.

i was only referring to using the 1LE rotors and LS,vette,fbody,ctsv..etc caliperrs this makes the upgrade cheap and no special one off pieces and easily replaceable.

Looking forward to what you end up doing. My car needs brakes and I've never figured out which is the better option, 1LE or LS brakes.
