The monte wheels look good on a monte because the curves match. That gen monte had the shortest run didn't it? I just dunno about those curvy soft wheels on a celebrity which is squared off almost all over except the coved rear end. The rears look good with the squared off spokes and the machine lip though.

The '98-'99 Monte/Lumina LTZ also had an optional wheel that was similar, but had a machined finish. They are very hard to find, otherwise I'd have a set. Just the other day, I found an early Eurosport with them when looking through stuff on Google images. I think it looks really good.

BTW, I'm nearly positive I was the first person to ever put a Firebird spoiler on a Celebrity. There's been a bunch of copycats since then, lol.

When did you do it? My boss towed one in to the shop that had one on it back in 1995-96.

That spoiler looks pretty good on there. Maybe just a hair too wide but is flat and matches nicely.

What's the bolt pattern on the celeb? That wheel well looks terribly small, max wheel size is gonna be smaller unless you want to run rubber bands.

Lol, dammit. It was '00 or '01 on my old gray sedan that had the Beretta sawblade wheels and a set of headlight covers. But I hadn't seen it before and got a crap load of compliments on it

It depends on if they have HD brakes or not. JA1 brakes used the smaller 5/100mm bolt pattern like a Cavi, JA2 hd brakes used the larger 5/115mm bolt pattern like the larger FWD cars. All my current cars have the larger bolt pattern. In the past I have ran a set of 16x8 GP crosslace wheels, it looks a little odd, but a 245/50 tire even barely fits. My coupe has 235/40/18 on the rear, and a 225/40 will fit up front. I can go fatter when I convert (finally, lol) to adjustable coilovers.

If that VR convertible ever comes down to a realistic price, you need it to match your coupe.

Is it for sale again then?

I've never owned a convertible yet. Of any kind. I had a chance at an '86 Eurosport way back and I regret it. There's also been a few 3rd gen F-bodies that I have passed up. One day maybe.

I got my wife to pump the brake pedal so I could attempt to bleed the master cylinder, so far nothing will come out of the front ports (it's a 4-port unit) and there's plenty of fluid flow out of the rear ports. The brake pedal went from nearly useless to very spongy, but the brakes still don't grab hard at all. It seems that the rears work ok but are probably way out of adjustment and the fronts are not really functional. I probably need to just replace the master cylinder.

Has been for years. From what I have heard though it's in the same shape as this wagon but shinier paint. :(

And I'll wait until the car looks a little better before I show y'all the rear underbody rot. Because right now, most of you would probably just suggest to junk it, lol.

Ok, now you have to show a celebrity sitting on 18's.

My coupe in the picture has 18's on the rear. When I get two tires for it, it'll have all four. I haven't even got the car out of the barn yet this year. Procrastination you know. I really want to replace the battery, exhaust and windshield this year. I probably have a side shot somewhere...

And I just want to point out again, that coupe is a VR clone, not a real one. That's why it doesn't have the side cladding, just Pontiac 6000 SE rocker covers instead. The car used to look like this:

Looks like one of Matt Krantz's cars.
