Been there,.......done that...........you have to fix to dents you put in it, pissed the whole time, because you are the one that did it.

Well it's been one set back after another with this thing. I bought what I was needing to put the motor in and when I went to bolt the 5 speed up found out that I wasn't even close. Guess I will have to go another route now

Where they bolted together was completely different. The five speed was a lot smaller than the v8. So I'm gona sell this one and try and find a different one to use for a v8 or just stick a turbo 350 in it

Ah, OK. So you have a T-5 with a 2.8 bellhousing then? You can get an NV3500 from behind a 4.3 and it will bolt up and work fine... as long as you don't give it TOO much power and a suspension that hooks.

Yep, he has the 60 degree V6 bellhousing instead of the Chevy roof top pitch. You might try to find a NV3500 out of a GMT400 truck, or a 5 speed that was behind a 4.3 V6 will work too, and I do believe is also a NV3500.

Well I ordered some parts thursday for the s10 and two of them came in today. What came in today was the 4inch lowering blocks for the rear and the new black lap belts. The parts im still waiting on is the new black carpet, the lug nuts, and a pair of flowmaster for the exhaust. Got a little work done on the truck today. I decided that I would just go ahead and drop the motor in and bolt the transmission up whenever I get one. At least this way I could get all of the lines and wiring done. Here is a pic of how it looks right now, everything is dusty from all of the sanding on the truck. I have a lot of work to do on the firewall to clean it up but at least the motor is in its place.

One new problem I ran into is that the places to hook the radiator lines up on the motor are on the opisite side as the radiator. Didn't know if anyone had any ideas or solutions to this problem. Not sure if the radiators for the 4.3 motors are the same or if they are different. If anyone had any ideas please let me know. Thanks
