I was driving to the gas station in my 87 R30, 7.2l diesel. Everything seemed fine, then the engine quit and I was coasting. I was able to turn into the gas station driveway. When I tried to restart the truck, there was no power. No lights, no horn, no headlights or wipers.

I put a jump box on it, but no change. I have 12v on the two batteries.

I towed it home, and this morning tried to start it. The glow plugs were cycling and the glow plug light (wait to start) was working. But still no power in the cab. It doesn't try to start.

Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this?

Thanks!

If you look at the power junction that is on the passenger side of the brake booster, this is the main power junction. The line going directly down from it should be the main power feed to the fuse panel, and it has a fusible link in it. This link may have burned out.
