I purchased an 87 V10 Silverado earlier this year. Crank windows. I'm having an issue with the door glass on the driver side getting out of the track. I put all new seals in both doors. On the driver side, the glass track inside the rear of the door was laying loose down in the bottom of the door. I bolted it back in place, and installed a new seal in it. What I think is happening is when i roll the window down, the glass moves rearward and gets out of the front track. Is the rear track supposed to keep the glass all the way forward as it rolls down? The passenger door glass stays all the way forward as it goes down. If the rear track is the issue, I don't see way to adjust it. The holes in the door are not notched.

The track is most likely bent, or tweaked. I had the same on my 87. Found a set of doors that were complete trash and pulled the guts out to swap in mine. Problem solved. Holding them side by side I could not tell what the issue was, it was beer thirty though. lol
