Howdy. Long time viewer, first time poster here.

I have an 87 c20. It's lowered in the front (2.5 spindles and springs) and rear. The rear has 2" drop hangers welded in and 2" drop shackles. I need to go another 2" to make the truck sit level but I'm not sure how to do that. I think a flip kit would have been ideal but now with the welded 2" drop hangers, I think it'll be too low.

Is my only option to remove the hangers/shackles, replace with OEM ones and add a flip kit for that 6" drop?

You can try removing some leafs but other than that you pretty much need to do the flip with stock hangers.

Yea, I've already removed the load bearing springs giving me a total of 4 springs.. sucks that the previous owner welded on the hangers.

Talked to a spring shop yesterday. He said he could re-curve the rear leaf springs to make it sit 2" lower and the ride would not be affected.

Ask him how long the springs will keep that shape

He's the expert but I have heard several times that re arched springs don't hold shape forever. But I'd definitely ask him and go from therw
