Yeah, I've seen that before and it's definitely a really nice truck and cool with the ext cab! There's a guy on 73-87chevytrucks that has like 3 of them (maybe more....)

That's bad ass. GM really could have made a killing with those, damn it...

Has anybody ever seen a conversion with the rear doors opening?

NO but that'd be equally as cool!! That probably wouldn't be a conversion but more like a full on custom job. I'm not sure why they didn't think of that much sooner than 97 when GM first came out with that as an option.

Yea the made an extended cab crew cab too! I saw it on the 67-72chevy forum, they were pictures from someone's back yard. Looked to be someones custom hauler from back in the 80's complete with a tacky paint job.

Yea, I edited the post. I saw how that could be confusing.

:waytogo: I was going to say, I was pretty sure they didn't make it to where the extended cab part actually opened up like they do on today's extended cabs unless it was someone's one off creation which is entirely possible. :)

That's his truck. (Choptop).

There was a 1986 extended crew cab with a short bed for sale here locally for $1800.

Well, the truck does sound a bit too long for me but I would have wanted it mostly due to it being so rare....
