alright so i did a frame swap and now it will not idle.
rundown of what i did is:
swapped from the longbed frame with the 700r4 with a 208 transfer case to a short wheel base with a th350 and 201 full time case. truck ran fine before the swap sat for about 6 months or so and had water i think in the oil pan from kids removing the cover for the motor. drained the fluid which was kinda greyish put new oil in. got everything hooked back up and now it will not idle i can get it to fire up but will not run unless holding gas pedal.
i checked the timing to see if it got messed with. for a bit it was backfiring through the carb and so i put it back to 0 degrees. i ran through the wires to see if any are grounding out and they are fine. im at a loss on what the problem is.
put headers on it, new fuel tank and lines.
its a 305 HO with a weiand street warrior intake and 600 cfm edelbrock carb

Any ideas????

Even if you turn the idle screw in? I would finish checking all your lines and make sure it's not leaking anywhere. Mine was doing that and I found that my vacuum brake had a big leak. Have you put a vac gauge on it?
