84 k10 cruise control rod

I need alittle help here. I'm restoring my truck back factory and I am trying to find the rod that goes from the servo to the carb. I bought one off ebay and I think it may have came off a car because its about 3 inches too short. Does anybody know what the total legnth of the rod should be, or where I can buy one. This is the last part I need and I cant find it anywhere online. I could modify the one I have but would like to put it back orignal if I can. Thanks
