84 GMC K1500 Steering Column

I have an 84 GMC k1500 and looking to replace the steering column. Wondering if a steering column from a 90’s truck or Suburban would fit as well or only 84 GMC. Having trouble finding one so any help would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to the site. I don't know if the '88 and newer column will fit the older Square. They have many of the same parts from the wheel to column but I don't know if they bolt to the dash with clamshell and flange to the firewall the same.
