The master gm tech at dealership told me 8lbs was correct for tbi. 15 or more for multiport. just shows even they don't know as much as some of us.

Nope, unless I"m mistaking, Vortec needs to be up near the mid 20's. I'll have to check though. I don't want to be the guy passing bad info.

Me neither but I think its 45-60psi for vortecs.

My 98 454 ran 42psi WOT with the supercharger and never missed a beat.

I didn't think it was that high, but I was actually thinking 30-35 for Vortec. Been ahille since I've needed to pay attention to it, but I know for a fact 8psi is to low for TBI. It's a bit high, but hell, a carb can tolerate 8psi, even though it really needs 3-5psi depending on the guts. I"ll be looking up those specs on TBI and Vortec when I find a few minutes.
