Just bought this ‘83 and I feel like a kid again. Had an ‘84 shortwide c10 and an ‘87 gmc k10 back in the day and have been wanting another ever since.
It’s a bit of a bastard with a facelift. Not my build but damn near everything I would do to one if I could.
‘83 k10 Chevy, rebadged as a gmc. LS swap lm7 from an ‘05 Tahoe, 4L 60E Trans with np205 transfer case. Jeep steering box, 4” block lift. Cab corners were rust removed and reworked prior to paint.
so so fresh paint with some bubbles and scratches, but what an awesome color. Split bench from a ‘95 I believe. Phantom Gauges, new dash, door panels, dynamatted, alpine with custom sub box.
Because it was modded in Cali, original plastic tank sits in the tool box. One of the first things I want to do is to get a side tank back on and un smog it. Needs a proper lift, ac could use some work, and the interior bits need some refining, but as is it just really well done.
would love to put a topper on it once the gas is sorted, needs a tailgate panel too, but I’m just going to enjoy it as is for now.
love seeing the trucks here and so glad to be a part of the group.
