Having "restomodded" my 85 (Vintage Air, Pro-flo, Serpentine drive, Auto-dimming mirror blah, blah, blah, I can no longer stand the pathetic factory windshield wipers.

Anybody out there retrofitted a newer factory system to their square?

I've gone thru two delay modules that were defective out of the box.

I'm looking for the "LS" type of swap it and forget it.

They're not making that motor. I guarantee it's factory of some sort. Just got to figure out what it came on and head to the junkyard. I can figure out how to adapt it to the firewall and linkage.

We're talking on average 35 yr old wiper tech... and it still works albeit maybe slow. How many new trucks these days will have functioning wipers in 35 years from now...
Exactly...

And I like that kit Adam da rabbit posted... good source!

Can someone explain to me the gripe about the factory wipers? Mine have all worked great. Period. Maybe they have all had healthy motors and clean grounds, I dunno. But never any complaints here.

Mine may seem petty but they just sweep too often. It annoys the **** out of me. I’m like a cat. Even on my newer truck ( a98) I leave them off and manually trigger them when it gets enough rain.
