the list of hard to find or expnsive parts is adding up.

of course I need the hood they want 3-400 for a new one NOT including truck freight.

both side lower grilles, they are like $100 each on ebay

seat tracks, one on each side is broke and they want an easy $100 or so on ebay for them

You're gonna hate this... but about an hour or so from me, there's a guy who always has an ad on C-list with what appears to be a warehouse full of that generation f-body parts.

I find it hard to believe the seat tracks are Firechicken specific? But who knows

well they are 2nd gen f body specific as far as I know but still, expensive on ebay. I may have found a hood, it's about an hour from me, but it's got surface rust, if I can get it cheap enough I'll try to get as much as I can off, use some rust treatment/reformer stuff, the kind that turns it black, and can be painted over, or maybe some rust disolver naval jelly etc. Then epoxy it.

Do you have a dustless blasting outfit near you? I don’t think it would be to horribly priced to do a hood it will strip it down and is less evasive the sand blasting.

Gotta admire the guys organizational skills. I can't imagine how long he's been collecting that though.

I was close to contacting him last year to see if he had a random snowflake wheel that didn't have a set or had some damage. I wanted one for a hose reel. Ended up redoing an Olds rally wheel instead.

I would definitely want to put a larger than stock motor in that. They were notorious for not being able to get out of their own way. They sure do look cool though

From what I've heard about the 403 the power numbers weren't too far away from the 400 poncho engine, but it wasn't nearly as high strung, if that makes sense.
