It's basically an old barn that's in pictures dating back to 1964. I'm guessing it was used as some type of hog barn. A picture in '69 shows it with the big sliding door added into it, suggesting it was being used as a garage then. There's concrete floor for a little over half the length, then it's just a dirt floor that I have covered with plywood.

It's by no means nice, but I can fit 3 cars along with all my parts and junk.

It's better than mine, because I don't have one...lol...

I was just thinking that a Camaro or Firbird like this could be a cool, fun DD with a 4.8/t56/410 swap.

I think that 355 vortec will be fun too.

oh I am sure it will, was just thinking the ls would provide better mileage and cold weather starting for my 80 mile daily commute, be relatively cheap and keep me from wanting to put more go fast parts on it.

With this build, cold starts and mpg are extremely low on the priority list. The 355 I picked up is very mild compared to what I was planning. But the price was hard to beat and it gets the car driving sooner.

I would have hooked you up with a serp. setup, but I sold the power steering bracket. I still got th eother stuff it's wasn't that style it's the one with the alt. mount on top, On the ds. I still got the water pump, fan tensioner, belt and theother side bracket, power steering pump, ac comp. pulleys etc. I just sold that ps bracket was all from it.

I've had most of a Vortec style setup to use for years, then I more recently got a complete vortec 350 pullout core from a friend. I figured I might as well use it, plus it came with a nearly new water pump and 140 amp alternator. The setup basically fell into my lap, lol.

I went hacking on the PS/AC bracket today. Now it's just a PS bracket. I cut some big chunks off and fine tuned it after that. I need to grind on it some more, but my air grinder was not happy and starting to freeze up.

I also have got the pedal bracket removed from inside the car and have a couple 3/8 rod ends on hand. I need to order a clutch master bracket from Detroit Speed and also need to order a set of clutch/brake pedal. When those come in I can mock it all up on the bench. The factory 4th gen clutch master will need modified to be adjustable. That's where the rod end comes in.

There are 3 episodes for this car.

Maybe it's just me. $1000 for car + windshield, $500 for a driveshaft..they spent $3500 for a radiator with 285 horsepower and don't have a muffler? Lol.
$800? for a used transmission.
$2700 is $10 PER HORSEPOWER?
PLUS they swapped tires magically and never stated how long episode one took to create?
Isn't that a lot for a little?

Maybe it's just me.

Ima watch episode 2 now.

*edit* lol I only watched the intro.
Turbo? Nevermind. Not watching.

Other than painting it, the modified PS bracket is finished. The idler pulley fits great and lines up too. I used a bolt/spacer/washer from vortec alternator bracket idler (smooth pulley) and a ribbed pulley from another GM application. If I had to guess, it's from an '87 or newer 60* v6 tensioner.

Modified bracket compared to stock:
