Ok so I’m new to the page and know absolutely nothing about Jeeps! First off what yes r the “xj” and will it still work on a 86 GMC by using this said shaft?

Ok so I’m new to the page and know absolutely nothing about Jeeps! First off what yes r the “xj” and will it still work on a 86 GMC by using this said shaft?

There is a much larger thread on this pertaining to 81 an up trucks. It is a bolt in swap for those using the whole jeep shaft.

An XJ is the box style Cherokee from the late 80s to 90s. Specific years are in the other thread, but you can't use a Grand Cherokee as those used a different column and intermediate shaft.
