73-74 GMC Tailgate Trim questions

Welp... walked out to the truck and guess no access panel. Coulda swore there was, must've been my buddies yota that i was thinking of.

Gotta be them barrel clips then. Probably just pop those in and push the emblem into place.

lol, I knew the ones after '81 didn't, but couldn't remember for the life of me if the one on the '79 I had in HS did or not.

The 73/4 gmc upper tailgate emblem uses those barrel nuts not the speed nuts.
