There is a pressure port on the side of the transmission, you can use it instead of the 4th gear switch and switch it with a pressure switch. Locked in 4th never bothered me. If I need it unlocked I'm already deep enough in the throttle it's down shifted to 3fd and unlocked. Also you can use a toggle to kill power to terminal 30 and you're unlocked until you flip the toggle again. No reason for a brake light switch if your, only locked when your in 4th.Hell by the time the 3 of us are done with this project it will be an 8 speed ovetdrive with.A.I. I hope you know I'm kidding there. Gooduck everyone have an awesome day

Talked to my trans guy today. Stated that I would need a torque converter lockup vacuum switch. I found a GM number 14014519, but no longer available. Also was told one from the same year S10 will work that had a 700r4, found an aftermarket Standard number VX3, but not available.

Looking at the Superior K058 vacuum switch.

I bought the Superior K058 vacuum kit for the torque converter lockup, but also found the Superior K013 high gear lockup kit.

Which would be better?

I went to a junk yard today looking for a brake pedal, which I found. While I was waiting on the person to remove it, I saw this vacuum switch. It was the TC lockup vacuum switch, GM number 14014519, and it actually does work!

I'm wiring up the SHIFT Superior Solutions K058 vacuum switch. I only have 1 wire that goes to the solenoid in the trans. Is it supposed to be wired NO or NC? I've read from two different sites that the vacuum is from ported or manifold, which should it be?
