That knurl size needs to be the same as the old stud so that it will seat in the hub flange. The K trucks have a larger hole in the brake rotor and the stud passes through that and seats in the hub. I drilled a K10 some years ago and increased the stud to 1/2-20. I worked in parts and was able to look in the chart for length, diameter and knurl sizes to get what I needed. Good luck in finding a parts man now that knows what a catalog is.

So something like that will work as long as the Knurl size is the same?Just make sure your new stud and old stud were meant to go in the same size hole. When you Redrill a hub for a different pattern,you just drill it or drill it and ream it to a certain finished dimension. The grooves are not part of the equation.
Most of the time as long as the knurl is tight things will be right. I have seen where the panhead was too large and needed ground for clearance. Looks like you're on the right path though.Knurl size
